Guests can enjoy access to shared gardens, kitchen facilities, and bathrooms—perfect for families or groups seeking a peaceful rural escape with great transport links. Every cabin is crafted from reclaimed materials, saved from landfill and repurposed with care.

Railway Cabin
Sleeps 2 – double bed.
A character-filled cabin built from a reclaimed CIE freight wagon, complete with electricity, heating, towels, and bedding.
FAQ's
The cabins are open from April to mid-October. There is the option for full site rental of the house or both house and cabins for winter period.
No. Our toilets block is short walk from cabins.
Yes, we have covered BBQ area with multiple picnic benches. Ideal for the Irish summer.
Yes. Our glampsite is designed with wheelchair users in mind, with wheelchair friendly parking bay, smooth pathways and a wheelchair accessible bathroom available. Our doorways vary in size to the cabins. If you’d like to discuss further about accessibility, check out our facilities page or contact us with your query.
Toilets and showers are only short walk away from the cabins (50m / 1 min walk). Walkway is an accessible path that is lit at night.
Located in the farmhouse through the double red doors. In here you will find space to cook and eat.

Duvets, pillows, towels & fresh linen are provided.

Bathrooms are dry and heated. Shower rooms are spacious and warm.
Yes, we have a separate disabled access bathroom. Refer to images of facilities to get a good idea of the space.
Yes. All accommodation has electricity, with main light, a bedside lamp and spare sockets in each unit.
There are also electric sockets in communal areas in farmhouse.
Pets can be brought upon request. Occasionally we keep horses on-site.
Check in is after 3pm. We have the cabins set up for self check-in and will provide further information on day of booking.
Check out is 11am.
Rathdowney is our local town only 7-minute drive. It has two supermarkets, local café, two pubs serving food and takeaways. Nearest restaurant is located in Durrow or Coolrain.
