Access Welcome Guide
We like to be honest with our guests and inform guests with additional needs as the best we can. If you have any concerns or enquiries about access, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The House
The house offers limited wheelchair access because it was constructed in the early 1860s. Below is description of access to communal rooms:
- Dining room is through double red doors and has no steps. Large space that has plenty of room.
- Kitchen can be accessing two ways one via 2 steps with wide entrance other via very tight entrance with no steps.
- One of the guest rooms in the house is located downstairs and bathroom with shower is located next door (available during winter months). Doorways are only 70cm wide. The rest of the house features steps, stairways, and narrow corridors, but it is brightly lit throughout.
Outside Glamping Area
Car park is an open space with a designated disabled parking spot. The ground material that runs through the glamping site and car park is compacted gravel, which wheelchairs and prams can easily move on. We have flat paving around the house, BBQ area and outdoor toilet block space. This area is fully step free.
Paths up to cabins are over 90cm wide and gravel is wheelchair accessible. Doorways to cabin vary due to them being all made from second hand materials.
Glamping cabin layout and door widths
- Door width: 80cm
- Small door saddle step 10cm
- Cabin has plenty of space around both double beds and singles.
- Door width: 53 cm
- Two steps into cabin
- Narrow cabin with three sets of bunkbeds, limited room to move around.
- Door width: 70cm
- Built in double bed, access only on one side and is slightly higher than regular bed frame.
- Door width: 80cm
- Spacious cabin with plenty of room around king size bed. Two-way light switch with switch beside bed.
Disabled Bathroom (outdoor glamping bathroom)
Full disabled bathroom with shower and is heated. Located 50m from cabins. Pathway is dimly light and lights in bathroom are automated.
